/ Cardinals

By Jess Root

The Arizona Cardinals lost starting center A.Q. Shipley for the season when he tore his right ACL in Saturday’s practice. He was officially placed on injured reserve, meaning he will miss the entire season.

He has taken the first step towards recovery, as he went in for knee surgery Tursday.

Clearly, he looks optimistic, although he admits it might be because of the the medicine.

The 32-year-old will have a long road ahead. He will be a free agent next offseason. At age 32 and coming off major knee surgery, he might find it difficult to find work.
