4 takeaways from Chiefs' coordinator Thursday media availability

As the Chiefs gear up for Week 6 of the regular season against the New England Patriots, Chiefs’ coordinators Dave Toub, Eric Bieniemy, and Bob Sutton met with the media. They talked about the return of Frank Zombo, opportunities for interim starters and more.

Here are some takeaways from what they had to say:

Denny Medley – USA TODAY Sports

“It’s good to have Frank. For me, he’s a comfort zone guy because I know I can plug him in anywhere and right now we need him. He’s going to hit the ground running for us and we’re fortunate to get him back.”

It felt like Dave Toub was getting a little choked up talking about Frank Zombo. It’s like his long-lost son finally came home. Maybe that’s a little dramatic, but Zombo was consistently a captain on ST for the Chiefs. He can plug right back in wherever he’s needed and he’ll be solid there.
