It might be wishful thinking for Pittsburgh Steelers fans to expect them to be big players in free agency. As we see news of team after team adding players the Steelers typically stand pat. But that doesn’t change the team’s primary need. Adding an athletic, versatile inside linebacker to help fill the void by the absence of Ryan Shazier.
Here are four guys still on the market at the moment that could really improve the Steelers’ defense.
Demario Davis is high-energy, violent linebacker who never gives up on a play. He’s more of a downhill, run stuffer than a coverage but he would bring a level of intensity the Steelers can always use. There are no real flaws to Davis’ game and he also brings a nice pass rushing element to a defense.
