The Indianapolis Colts were spurned by Josh McDaniels, who agreed and then declined to be the next head coach, which leaves them searching for a new leader once again.
While the market has gotten significantly smaller since the Colts began their mission, there are still a few options — and some good ones — out there that the organization can look to bring in.
Here are four options the Colts can still consider for the now vacant head coaching gig:
Once again, Toub finds himself in the mix for the Colts head coaching job. And once again he is a favorite to get an interview. Whether he will or not remains to be seen but he’s likely at the top of the list.
Given his track record with general manager Chris Ballard, Toub would be a wise choice as he’s respected around the league and he has a good relationship with the front office.
