4 big takeaways from Ravens' 34-23 loss vs. Bengals
/ Ravens

By Wola Odeniran

The Baltimore Ravens once again have lost to the Cincinnati Bengals, this time by the score of 34-23 on “Thursday Night Football.” Baltimore now falls to 1-1 on the season and 0-1 in the AFC North — vital for the AFC playoff race.

You would have thought the Ravens would’ve had more energy and anger considering the way Cincinnati ended their season last year. But no, Baltimore would find themselves trailing 28-7 in the first half and could never recover from it.

There are so many takeaways we can use in this game but there are four that stand out tonight.

Look, Williams is a good player, but he isn’t providing anything on defense at this point that warrants the $54 million contract he signed during the 2017 offseason. He has not lived up to that contract in any way shape or form. That’s especially the case in the run game where he supposedly warranted being paid top dollar like defensive linemen who get sacks.
