The Tennessee Titans made one of their smartest acquisitions of the offseason by inking former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Adam Humphries to a four-year, $36 million deal.
But the Titans weren’t the only team with an offer. Humphries had options — including an offer on the table from the Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots.
“I was weighing the options between both teams, and obviously they have a lot of success with guys similar to me,” he said.
“When I committed to Tennessee, obviously I am a man of my word, and I am going to keep my word there. It is tough, and it is a big decision, and it is a decision that will impact me for the rest of my life.”
He also mentioned the comfort level he felt with Jon Robinson was a factor in his decision.
