One thing is clear: Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill is happy about the team’s not-quite-official signing of WR Sammy Watkins.
Kansas City plans to sign Watkins to a three-year, $48 million deal worth $30 million guaranteed when free agency officially begins at 3 p.m. CT on March 14.
Hill isn’t the only one excited about the pick. In general, Chiefs fans seem to be pretty pumped about the team adding another offensive weapon.
Many media members agree that it’s a good pickup, noting that the Chiefs offense has potential for greatness with quarterback Patrick Mahomes, running back Kareem Hunt, Hill, Watkins and tight end Travis Kelce running the show.

Watkins wasn’t the Chiefs’ only big free agent pickup. K.C. also snagged linebacker Anthony Hitchens on a five-year deal worth $9 million per year. That’s a hefty deal but this signing could boost the Chiefs’ run defense tremendously.
Overall, it looks like the Chiefs are having a good free agency so far. Two holes have been filled and the team still has eight draft picks in...
