Todd McShay Mock Draft 2.0: Saints get edge rusher to pair with Jordan
/ Saints

By K.D. Drummond

In his latest mock draft, ESPN expert Todd McShay has an early run on quarterbacks. While there’s an outside chance the Saints could be looking in that direction to find the eventual heir for Drew Brees, the position doesn’t currently appear to be the top priority in the coming NFL draft to be held in Dallas. Instead, the Saints will likely focus on other positions, including finding a counterpart to Cam Jordan on the edge.

McShay sends Boston College OLB Harold Landry to the Saints.

Landry was two different players before and after the injury, but any tape of him fully healthy shows an explosive player who can get to the quarterback. Combined with 2017 rookie Trey Hendrickson and a possible return for Alex Okafor and the Saints can continue bulding their defensive pass rush.
