The Indianapolis Colts officially named Josh McDaniels as their new head coach Tuesday and it seems they are close to getting deals done with the assistant coaches.

It has been reported that Matt Eberflus, Mike Phair and Dave DeGuglielmo all have deals in place to become assistant coaches under McDaniels, per Albert Breer of the MMQB.

Eberflus has been long expected to join the Colts under McDaniels as the defensive coordinator, coming over from the Dallas Cowboys as their linebackers coach.

It was also reported that the Colts were bringing in Phair to be the defensive line coach as he finished his tenure with Illinois.

The Colts also reportedly agreed to terms with DeGuglielmo to be the offensive line coach and it seems that’s the position he will take when the team officially announces it.

The Colts weren’t allowed to name any of these hires under McDaniels until he was officially announced but now that they have done so, the pieces will soon begin to fall in place.
