Former Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell is still on the market after the Seahawks dismissed him in January, but he may not be for long.
After the Colts announced Tuesday Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels had been hired as their new head coach, McDaniels withdrew from the Colts head coaching gig and will remain with the Patriots.
According to Albert Breer of MMQB, Colts general manager Chris Ballard is still considering Bevell for the offensive coordinator position.
Bevell was recently tied to the Colts’ vacancy, and it appears he is still in the running.
The 48-year-old coach has over 17 years of coaching experience under his belt. He began his NFL coaching career in 2000, as Green Bay’s assistant quarterbacks coach and was promoted to head quarterbacks coach in 2003.
Bevell made the move to Minnesota as the Vikings offensive coordinator until 2011, when the Seahawks hired him as their offensive coordinator.
