The Baltimore Ravens are in the market for playmakers. It’s why the offseason around here has been spent looking at wide receivers and tight ends primarily. But the Ravens could be in the market for another quarterback too — at least according to NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah’s latest mock draft.
Jeremiah has Baltimore grabbing Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield with their No. 16-overall selection in the first round.
“The Ravens should be in rebuild mode and that starts with a new signal-caller. Mayfield can sit behind Joe Flacco until he’s ready to take over.”

While there can be a case made for drafting Flacco’s successor, it seems a little unwise to be doing so with such a high selection.
For one, Flacco is only 33 years old. While some positions typically fall off around this time, quarterback is a different thing completely. Many of the league’s top quarterbacks are in that same age range and looking like they still have plenty of years...
