The college pro day schedule has only just begun, but already the Pittsburgh Steelers are putting the expense account to good use. While Mike Tomlin and Kevin Colbert were spotted at the Alabama Pro Day on Wednesday, it seems at least Tomlin arrived in Tuscaloosa the night before.
NFL Draft hopeful Joshua Frazier confirmed this early arrival when he announced he had dined with the Steelers head coach the night before his pro day.
Frazier’s Instagram link no longer works, but it is quite likely Colbert was one of the members of the organization the defensive tackle refers to in his tweet. With former Alabama defensive line coach Karl Dunbar now a member of the Steelers as well, there is a good chance he was also at the dinner meeting.
Assuming Pittsburgh says goodbye to free agent defensive tackle Daniel McCullers this offseason, the front office should be looking to add some depth at the position during the draft and Frazier would look to be a day 3 selection.
Measuring in at just under 6-foot-3 and 320-pounds, Frazier would figure to a two-down player and block absorbing presence in the Steelers defense. However, some within Steeler Nation are sure to take exception to his favorite team growing up – the New England...
