After a busy weekend, the Jacksonville Jaguars appear to be back at work after announcing the signing of 16 undrafted free agents and the release of 11 veterans.
The list of undrafted additions and veteran subtractions is as follows according to Brian Chojnacki of First Coast News:
There was some confusion amongst Jags fans after initial reports listed receiver Shane Wynn as a part of the cuts, but Ryan O’Halloran of the Florida Times-Union cleared up the rumor and reported Raphael Kirby was cut instead.
The names that stand out among the signings are cornerbacks Jeremy Cutrer and Erza Robinson and offensive guard Avery Gennesy, who will look to make a name for themselves in Jaguars OTAs. Our own Thomas Goodrich saw Robinson as a late-round pick, and our friend of Draft Wire, Luke Easterling, wrote a solid piece on Cutrer, an interesting prospect who has overcome a lot of adversity.
Jaguars OTAs will begin on May 23, and will progress May 25–26 and May 30. They’ll return June 1–2, 5–6 and 8–9, then hit the field for minicamp June 13–15.
