According to a report from the Tennessean, a federal lawsuit filed in Nashville yesterday alleges that Tennessee Vols wide receiver Drae Bowles was allegedly assaulted by his fellow teammates because he helped a woman who said she was raped by former Vols, A.J. Johnson and Mike Williams.
The lawsuit states that Bowles had taken the alleged rape victim to a hospital on the night of the incident back in November of 2014 and subsequently backed her decision to report what happened to authorities.
Wow, what kind of jerk does such a noble thing like that!
The first assault reportedly took place in front of coaches and just days later, Bowles was assaulted again at the team facility by the same group of players. The lawsuit also says Mike Williams reportedly told police that Tennessee defensive back Geraldo Orta had put “a hit” out on Bowles.
