Actress Stacey Dash, who is currently a commentator on FOX News, got many people, including Arizona Cardinals defensive back Tyrann Mathieu, riled up Wednesday with her opinions on the controversy surrounding the Academy Awards.
When discussing the lack of nominations for African-Americans, Dash said, the following:
"We have to make up our minds.. Either we want to have segregation or integration. And if we don't want segregation, then we need to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the Image Awards where you're only awarded if you're black. If it were the other way around, we would be up in arms. It's a double standard."
When asked if she thought BET shouldn't exist, she said, "No, I don't think so, no. Just like there shouldn't be a Black History Month. You know? We're Americans. Period. That's it."
Mathieu, who has been sideline since the regular-season finale with a torn ACL then weighed in with his theory on Dash.
