Bobby Hart’s days with the New York Giants appeared numbered as the 2017 regular season concluded and he was waived/injured after Dave Gettleman took over as the team’s general manager. And while that may still be true, at least for now, he’s back.
Because the Giants waived Hart prior the end of the season with the injury designation, the team couldn’t officially place him on injured reserve (IR) until he cleared waivers and the season had concluded. As of Monday, the cap had been put on the 2017 season.
With the move, which essentially amounts to the filing of paperwork, Hart’s release with an injury settlement is likely to come soon and then he will be free to join his next team.
