It’s true, there won’t be any football played for a while. With the Philadelphia Eagles defeating the New England Patriots to win Super Bowl LII on Sunday night, the league will now go on its annual hiatus.
But we don’t stop talking about the league, ever. In fact, the start of free agency is less than six weeks away. It’s always interesting to discuss what a team could do in the offseason to improve its chances of being the last team standing in February, and the first step in that process is free agency.
Last week, we took a look at tight ends that the Broncos could show interest in. Here, the running game will be addressed.
The Broncos have a solid No. 1 running back in C.J. Anderson, but the money still due on his contract combined with the fact that it includes no dead money makes him a clear candidate to be cut this offseason to save money against the cap.
